This Privacy Policy explains how HIER Agency (“HIER Agency”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses and protects personal information when you visit our website or contact us through it. We aim to handle your information in line with the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 (NDPA) and other applicable law.
1. Who we are
HIER Agency is a digital marketing and web design business based at Lekki Phase 1, Lagos, Nigeria. We offer website design and development, ads and marketing, and social media management. For anything in this policy, contact us at hieragency1@gmail.com.
2. Information we collect
Information you give us. When you use the contact form we collect:
- your name and email address;
- the service you select under “I need”;
- the message you write;
- the website language you were using (English or French) and the date and time of submission.
If you email us or message us on Instagram or Facebook, we receive whatever you choose to send. Those platforms handle your messages under their own policies.
Technical information. Our hosting provider processes technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, in order to deliver the website and keep it secure.
Meta Pixel. This website uses the Meta Pixel, a tracking tool from Meta Platforms, the company behind Facebook and Instagram. When you visit, the Pixel may set cookies or use similar technologies and send information to Meta, such as your IP address, browser and device details, the pages you view and how you interact with the website. We use it to measure how our advertising performs and to reach people who have visited the website. Meta handles this information under its own privacy policy and may link it to your Facebook or Instagram account if you are logged in.
Cookies and similar technology. The website stores your language choice in your browser’s local storage so it can remember it on your next visit. Apart from the Meta Pixel described above, we do not currently use other advertising or analytics trackers. You can limit tracking by changing your ad settings on Facebook and Instagram, blocking cookies in your browser, or using a content-blocking extension.
3. How we use your information
- To read and reply to your inquiry;
- to discuss, quote for and provide our services if you choose to work with us;
- to keep records of our communications;
- to measure and improve our advertising;
- to protect the website and prevent spam or misuse; and
- to meet our legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information. We will not add you to a mailing list or send you marketing unless you ask us to or agree to it.
4. Our legal basis
We process your information because you have consented by submitting the form, because it is necessary to respond to your request and take steps toward a service agreement, because we have a legitimate interest in running, securing and promoting our business (including measuring our advertising), and where we are required to by law.
5. Who handles your information
We use trusted providers to run the website. They process information on our behalf and only to provide their services:
- Netlify, which hosts the website and may process contact form submissions;
- Google (Firebase Cloud Firestore), which may store contact form submissions in our database;
- Meta Platforms (Meta Pixel), which receives the browsing information described above when you visit the website;
- Google Fonts, which delivers the website’s typefaces and therefore receives your IP address when the page loads.
These providers may process data on servers outside Nigeria. Where that happens, we rely on the safeguards required by applicable data protection law. We do not otherwise share your information unless the law requires it or you ask us to.
6. How long we keep it
We keep inquiries for as long as needed to respond, manage any working relationship and meet legal and accounting obligations. When the information is no longer needed, we delete it.
7. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including restricting access to it. No online service is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may ask us to:
- confirm whether we hold your information and give you a copy;
- correct information that is wrong or incomplete;
- delete your information or restrict how we use it;
- stop processing based on our legitimate interests;
- provide your information in a portable format; and
- withdraw consent at any time, without affecting earlier processing.

9. Children
Our website and services are intended for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has sent us information, please contact us and we will delete it.
10. Other websites
This website links to Instagram and Facebook. We do not control those platforms and are not responsible for their privacy practices.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The “last updated” date above shows when it last changed.
